This embroidery machine features a 4x4 embroidery field with 125 built-in decorative designs, including 45 Disney designs. Also built-in are nine fonts (6 English and 3 Japanese) for monogramming and personalization. Embellish your creations with Disney Mickey Mouse & Friends embroidery! The PE550D features a large, easy to view color touch screen so that you can see your designs and see them in alternate colors if you wish, before stitching it out. Adjust the built-in embroidery lettering fonts in multiple ways; align text at an angle or in curves, place text on multiple lines, increase and decrease the spacing between letters, and more. The Brother PE550D has a built-in memory and a USB port for uploading your designs. The possibilities are endless! I love this machine
I have always wanted an embroidery machine to do small items, this fits the bill, it was easy to learn the fonts are perfect for my needs, the machine is fantastic. I made a velvet bag with our Pastors name embroidered on it he really like it. It holds a Baptismal Shell, it is perfect.

Best ever!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little entry-level embroidery machine for its intended purpose but I suggest you do some research to be sure this is the one that suits your needs. I'm sure it has been mentioned numerous times that this is an embroidery only machine. If you can only afford one machine, and you also want to do sewing, you might want to choose a combination machine like the SE600.
