Flojet 03526 144A Triplex 2.9 Water System, 12 Volts

I used this pump to draw water from a 27 gallon storage bin using a 12v car jump starter battery pack for my portable water heater/camp shower. It worked perfectly in my off grid backwoods campsite until the temps dropped unexpectedly overnight and froze up the whole system. I love how quickly it connects and disconnects, how small it is, and how powerful it is. The only real drawback of this pump is the fact that you need to use their connections. Since this is a well known brand, you can usually find parts at RV dealers, some home centers, and some plumbing supply stores. However, this can be a problem if something breaks and you're nowhere near any of those places. Solution: buy extra connections just in case, they aren't very expensive. I added a toggle switch, longer lead wires, and some alligator clamps that can be easily removed if I want to semi-permanently wire it to my trailers 12v system. Future additions: a 12v transformer for running it on a 120v AC system. Overall, this is a great solution for anyone running a camp shower with 12v system, or replacing the pump in your RV (double check your specs, I'm not experienced with RV plumbing, just restating information I've seen on other reviews).

Got this as a spare to keep in our trailer in the event that the original one of the same kind ever fails when we are out in the middle of nowhere. This model has been reliable for us and is easy to install, remove and disassemble for inspection/maintenance/cleaning, the latter of which may be required occasionally if you do not have a filter upstream of it (which you should have).
