Perfectly Adequate

These are not the highest quality and that made installation a bit of a chore (pieces bend easily, don't fit back together quite right). But they serve the purpose really well and do the job nicely now that they're up. Good cheap option as they look nice once up.

Really 2.5 stars... half good & half bad.

In short, the rods & roller-hooks seem well-made and move smoothly. However, the wall brackets are very poorly designed. I had to make 3 trips down to the workshop to make the "matching" brackets work. First, the included mounting screws are not long enough to reach studs behind the sheet rock. After finding very similar small but longer screws, I had to drill the brackets to get the heads through the keyholes. Next, the set-screws on top of the brackets are too long and have pointed tips - and the brackets themselves are rather thin - so that the screws would hit the rod before engaging the few threads in the brackets. I therefore had to clamp the brackets to the workbench and use a hacksaw to cut the screw-ends flat so they could thread with the brackets before meeting the tops of the rods. Finally, the openings of the downward-C-shape of the brackets where the rods pass through turned out to be too narrow to let the roller hooks slide through. I had to (gently) use pliers to make the openings larger so the rollers could traverse the rod... (One note about the rod(s) to others who may make the same assumption I did: It's not a huge problem, but I expected the rod to be 2-piece, where 1 rod slides into the other, and one can orient it so the side of the drape that you open has "more track" and does not have to have the rollers go over the 'joint' to reach the halfway point. To make a smaller shipping package, this unit has two outer ends with a middle section that slides inside both of them. So, either way, the rollers are going to hit the joint in order to clear the sliding side of a horizontal window...)

look elsewhere...poor quality

wow...1st of all you cannot return without paying 20% restocking fee and return shipping. This is from a 3rd party seller on walmart.com. The photo looked black but it was not. I decided to use anyways to avoid the loss of returning and the brackets were terrible. I had to lightly tap a hammer to get the rod to slide through the brackets which trashed the finish, then because the brackets squeezed the rod the clips now hang up on one side so I have to get a stool out to open the curtains all the way. I strongly recommend CH150-04-28-7 which is the model walmart Carrie's. I bought that on for another window and install was a breeze with no hangups of the clips. this item is junk.
