These steps were easy for two people to put together, and it's attractive. I like that the step rise is shorter than most stairs, which makes it comfortable to climb. The handrail is helpful and sturdy, but the screw located in the middle protrudes and is rough on fingers if you're not careful. The stairs seemed quite solid and sturdy when first installed nearly a month ago. After climbing up and down for nearly a month, the stairs now squeak a little, and i feel a little bit of shifting. It doesn't feel as secure as it once did. I wish the platform area at the door could be deeper so that I wouldn't have to stand 2 stairs down from there to open and close the door. Also, I wish the tread depth could be deeper. I'm a woman wearing size 9 shoes, and the tread seems unusually narrow; so it takes more thoughtful effort to climb and descend than most other stairs. I appreciated the good price and prompt delivery.
