You deserve happiness. Have you ever known true love?
The daily routine of a quiet seaside town in southern Italy is disrupted by the arrival of a stranger. No one knows where he comes from, he is black like so many migrants who are willing to die for a hope, and he does not even have a name. They call him the Pilgrim, and unlike others, he has not come to ask for something, he has come to give. Apparently, he possesses nothing valuable but what he gives is worth more than anything else.
Some people think he is a saint, a healer, a prophet, a guru. And those who think he is a popularity-seeking charlatan who, as too many do, uses people's fears. Magdalene falls in love with him, who writes for a living and still believes in love forever. But the Pilgrim is different, he does not love like others, he is a "void filler," as a strange woman Magdalene meets by chance puts it. But is there such a thing as chance? And what mystery does the Pilgrim hold?
This little novel is a promise. It is a magical, surreal book. A book for everyone who has forgotten the only reason we are in this world: love.
