Terrible cooktop. Large and small burners stink.

This is not a good cooktop. The large center burner is a lie. It may have a bigger circle on the glass top, but the heating element is small and just heats the center of the pan. It cooks so unevenly. The center of a pan sauce boils, while the remainder barely gets warm. Half of a chicken breast will burn while the others half stays pale and pasty. It really is awful. And the small burner doesn't work for pans slightly smaller the circle on the glass top. No more melting butter or heating cream for me. I can no longer use small pots. I limits my cooking significantly. I regret buying this so much. This is not my first induction stove. I love the technology. This one is not a good choice.

Hi, Tara. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG cooktop. The way the center burner and smaller elements are performing based on your cookware size and heating pattern is definitely important feedback, and we appreciate you explaining how it affects your cooking routine and the types of dishes you prepare. Poor quality 11" induction coil, uneven heating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you cook in large 8-11" skillets, you will be very disappointed in this induction stove. The 6" burners work fine, but the big, center 11" burner on this 36" induction stove is good for nothing but boiling water and space to hold a hot pan. I love the look and feel of the stove, and it's so easy to clean, but first and foremost I need to have even heating under my 9" and 10" skillets, and the 11" burner induction coils are faulty in doing this. I have worked with LG for months over this. They've send out three techs, and all have said, "It's not faulty, that's just the way it heats. The heat is concentrated in the center by design." Well, this cook needs a refund, because this design ain't doing it for her. Really, now, who would design 6" heat for an 11" burner?! What kind of faulty design is this? LG, I am so disappointed! BUYER BEWARE: This model has a lovely, seductive 11" burner, but you can't actually cook (sauté, simmer) in a large skillet on this burner because our 11" induction coils are poorly designed and don't conduct sufficient heat to the outer diameter of the burner. So this burner is just for looks, and boiling water. That's it. Otherwise this is a nice stove." Note: Yes, my pans are all flat, induction ready, and all show good induction heat index test results.
