It is quiet and I can tell the air is not so terribly dry. I followed a recommendation from my daughter and I find it is as good as she said it would be. Only difficulty for us seniors can be putting water in and getting it on base., it was a learning curve that was easily mastered after a couple of tries. Love it.

Runs quietly.
It does not take up much room and runs quietly. It works best using distilled water but sometimes it is hard to find that so I use purified. It is easy to clean and it adds just enough moisture to the air.
