This is what my senior dog wants. I've tried the “fresh” options and she absolutely will not eat them. We always come back to Hills Science Diet for 7 year olds and she id happy to have it back.

Science Diet Dog Food

My German Shepherd has eaten science diet in every stage since she was a puppy. She’s now 13 years old. There’s no fuss when it’s time to eat. Her three Multi-Poo sisters also eat science diet

In a class of its own

My dog IS my best friend, but is also someone I place my trust in as he is my service animal. I researched every dog food on the market (both wet and dry) and Hill’s was one of only two that didn’t use carcass meat (YES! CARCASS MEAT…as in the carcasses of other animals, INCLUDING OTHER DOGS 🤢), as well as containing carcinogens. And those are just the top two nasties that other top brands contain (think Blue Buffalo, Pro Plan, Eukanuba, to name but a few). Now I still add other things to his food in order to make sure he gets everything he needs (local raw honey [make sure it’s local, that way they get the immunity from the local bees], fish oil [the best kind should contain all 3 kinds of omega-3’s], puréed carrots or freeze dried vegetables with freeze dried fruits, multi vitamin powder, glucosamine chondroitin, ginger - I prefer to give him grated fresh ginger root, probiotics, raw egg(s) - 1-2 each meal based on his/her weight, and one of the things I feel made the BIGGEST difference; raw organ meat. After trial and error, I’ve stuck with raw beef hearts (NOT the easiest to find, but a few Publix will order them for you) and raw beef liver. (*I could be forgetting something but I don’t think so 🧐.) In older dogs, use turmeric and again it’s always better to use the actual turmeric root. There are other things you can use for older dogs as well. I realize all of this probably sounds over the top daunting; but: 1) fix your baby’s meals several days at a time, that way it won’t be so difficult 2) If nothing else, mix up the dry ingredients for…say a week at a time? And this will save you a lot of time. 3) I know that there are a lot of dog meal delivery options out there (similar to “Hello Fresh”, etc. for people), but if you sincerely love your baby, this is the only way to go…and it starts with one of the only quality wet/dry dog foods out there - Hill’s Science Diet. And getting back to that, and to wrap this up; they literally have any type and flavor your baby could want. Even breed specific! I literally can’t recommend them enough; wet or the dry. So sorry for the long winded review, but I hope that at least one of you found it helpful. Please give all of your furbabies a hug from me. They are the ones that deserve to live longer lives. God bless.
