Cheap Looking Finishes
I just bought and assembled two of these nightstands. They are for a kid's room and I was looking for basic MDF furniture so I won't be bothered by any damages it gets during its lifetime, but these are extra cheap looking. The pulls are plastic. The bottom lip of the drawer front isn't finished-its exposed MDF. If you're reaching into the open space at the bottom you'll graze your hand on rough MDF. You can also easily see that it's unfinished at eye level when we are on the floor playing. The arch piece at the very bottom also has exposed MDF which has been spray painted. I can't imagine that covering these two areas with the smooth blue exterior of the rest of the piece would be a significant added cost to the production, but it would make this nightstand look so much less cheap.
