Friedrich 50 Pint Capacity Dehumidifier with 15-Inch Built-In Drain Pump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was easy to set up in my crawl space. It is a good weight to stand up right but not to heavy to maneuver. It has a very light almost like white noise sound while running. It is easy to keep clean with the different options for draining- the drawer, a hose, or a tube. We live in the south where humidity can climb in the summer so we are so excited to be able to use this to maintain the crawl space. It will last for years, it is quality built!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been having an awful humidity problem in my bedroom and bought a dehumidifier that was good for 250 sq. ft. It took 5 days to fill the 1 liter tank and it never brought the humidity level down more than 1 or 2 points. So I started looking for a bigger unit and came across this one. It had several features that I was looking for including the ability to preset the unit to a desired humidity level. It's a lot more than I needed for just my bedroom but it does what I want it to do and I can use it elsewhere in my house if the need arises. Very easy to set up. I plugged it in, set the humidity level and turned it on. With in 20 minutes my room went from 75% humidity to 60%. The tank filled up really quickly and I had to empty it twice within 12 hours but you can also make this so it drains continuously through a hose if you don't want to bother with having to empty the tank so often. Now that the humidity is controlled, it only needs to be emptied once a day. It has an auto shut off feature when the tank is full. It has a timer so you can have it come on at a preset time and maybe my favorite feature is that the lights on the display can be shut off so it doesn't disturb your sleep. It's on wheels so it's pretty easy to move, the tank that collects the water is super easy to remove and replace and the noise is comparable to a fan or air conditioner.
