I've been using the Pixie Cup for a few weeks now and have to say I can't ever imagine going back! I'm a big environmentalist and first went with cloth pads, but then decided to give the cup a try and I am so glad I did. If you are concerned about the seal, you simply run your fingers around the cup inside and that should work. There is less water waste than washing pads, too, because you simply rinse and wash with some hand soap. I was hesitant at first because I was imagining it would be a pretty big bloody mess, but you grip the cup from the stem and pull it out that way, so you actually very rarely get any blood anywhere, unlike washing your cloth pads by hand.
