It was not difficult to assemble. The adapter had the "ok" sticker at the wrong place. As result the remote initially. After getting the fan and light to work. The fan does produce good air and the remote does provide capabilities to dim and bright. Just when we thought everything is good, just two days later, the light flickered and gave off. It is no longer working. On calling the customer service, turns out there is an issue with light unit. If you purchased from Home depot, they will replace without additional cost. I got from Walmart, so i may have to return it. Good fan but light kit is a problem
