These bulbs (and all Phillips Ultra Definition bulbs) are an affordable option I found in an independent testing of authentic full spectrum light bulbs, and with little to no invisible flicker. Why is this important? Indoor artificial lighting can affect our biology in negative ways. Authentic full spectrum bulbs are closest to natural outdoor light. Research in schools found improved learning and behavior with authentic full spectrum bulbs compared with standard fluorescent bulbs. Other research found improved physical and mental health issues compared with standard bulbs. Some LED bulbs claim to be full spectrum but are not. Incandescent bulbs are full spectrum, however my incandescents flicker... to check for invisible flicker, just video your light bulbs on slo-mo to check. Invisible flicker is a central nervous system irritant for some people (may contribute to headaches in some people or other negative effects).
