I noticed it leaks if you don't continue turning the lid til it fully tightens. There a point it feels like it locks, you just need to continue turning it a bit more. I have a small fridge in my room and was reusing water bottles to have homemade tea. I like the thickness of the bottles as well.

I had a bumper crop of Grapefruit this year and cannot give them all away. For some reason people are like "No Thank You, Grapefruit Nope". I love grapefruit and hated to throw them away and then I thought "well, I have a juicer and I have a freezer" problem solved except what am I going to put them in. Walmart to the rescue. These Juice Bottles are perfect for the juice. I fill them a few inches from the top (expansion) and in the freezer they go. I held one upside down and there was no leakage. The 15 bottles came with caps, labels, a funnel and a cleaning brush. The are BPA free and clear so you can see how much is in them as you fill them. The perfect way to keep plastic from the landfills as these are reusable. I was happy with my purchase.
