Perfect size and incredibly useful
One of my mother's entertaining lessons sticks with me decades later: small serving plates are absolutely essential. If you have a limited quantity of a particular dish, a small platter makes it look exquisite instead of just stingy. This is that serving piece! Sandwiches cut in triangles look upscale, and I used it to serve Chicken Kiev when there were just four of us. I've also used it for desserts and as a base for condiment cups. Made of melamine, which I initially wasn't thrilled with, but it's been lovely. Makes it easier to buy several so you always have one at hand. In fact, I'm considering getting a number to use as luncheon plates. Strong thumbs up on this, and I encourage Spode to add this item to all their collections.
