My eight year old loved these pants. They're like sweat/ jogger pants. We struggle to find him pants that fit him. He turned 8 in June. Had bought him a size 10, but size 8 is perfect for him. My son is on the thin side, so he is very skinny. Be aware that Wal-Mart also sells other pants like these and run bigger from the waist.
