The Girls of Central High Aiding the Red Cross (Paperback)

Gertrude Morison wrote the series Girls of Central High for the Stratemeyer syndicate from 1914 to 1919. There were seven books in the series. Girls of Central High is an adventure series with a little mystery thrown in. In the first book the girls form an athletic association and plan school competitions. The central character is Laura who is known as Mother Wit because she always has a solution to any problem. Miss Carrington is the assistant principal who disapproves of girl's athletics and anything else this group of girls wants to do. The books are full of humor and a lot of fun to read.
