Unfolded it, rinsed it out, poured a bottle of water into it, turned it on, and it produced boiling hot water steeped my tea for 15 minutes %26 was still hot to add raw honey and enjoy. It's silicone.

It boils room-temp(72F) water in less than 5 minutes. I did 3 full cups, as I didn't see the lightly marked max line at first, which was less than 2/3 of the water container height. Didn't cause any problem. The automatic shutoff is a nice feature. The only issue, like most of the bendable silicon water bladders, is it has a strong plastic-y smell. I used baking powder and vinegar-water overnight soaks a couple of times, most of the smell was gone. I hope with time and more usages, the smell would improve.
