Terrible chemical smell that would not go away with soaking in vinegar and washing in warm water with a neutralizing shampoo. I purchased in November and opened to use after the deadline to return. I will never, ever purchase this product again. The smell tells me not to use it! It probably causes health iasues...my opinion but the smell is terrible.
