So I got the S9 FE version and matching tablet (see my other review). I was really impressed with the design of the Apple Magic Keyboard but the price was too much to swallow. I was comparing cheaper options but settled on this one as a gamble. First impressions, the charging is a bit odd but I finally figured out its light notification system. Pairing with it first was a snap. The keys feel solid and satisfying ‘tap tap' when cranking out a few pages of DnD lore while streaming some 40K WarHammer (hail the imperium). You do have to get in the habit of powering it back on whenever you switch of the tablet. It's a minor inconvenience on an otherwise impressive design. The magnets holding the tablet feel strong and solid. The tilt angle is slightly adjustable and is steady when you set it. Snapping it closed feels good, although it does add a significant amount of heft. This is very mitigated by its solid outer shell. I think this design is remarkable and could be revolutionary because it really does it well in a lap whether on a couch, table, bed laying slightly prone, on your side just watching movies, or as a sound board for your tabletop campaigns. Maybe I'm over vamping it, but it's the most excited I've been about a tablet keyboard in a very long time. Track pad takes a little getting used to, along with some of the “quick tap” actions, but after about a week of use, I was cruising along. The charge holds very well, the ONLY (minor) complaint it that you have to reconnect it whenever the tablet is closed. Retraining a delay has remedied this habit and I don't really notice it anymore. Great performance for the price.
