Buy this if you want to be FLUENT in Japanese

I have used both Genki books but this one takes the cake. It will challenge you and force you to become better at reading kanji and reading comprehension. I would recommend this book to anyone who intends to become fluent in Japanese. The stories are interesting and include so much about Japanese history, geography, complex grammar points, and realistic dialogues (with varying politeness). Amazing, amazing book for learning Japanese. Challenging in a great way.
