Stunning

This is such an amazing read. With 3 witty and very different main characters, it ensured there was someone I could identify with. In fact, there were aspects about each character that I loved. Following the 3 women, their relationship developments and dramas, while focussing on the bonds of family meant this was a wonderful chick-lit read. Perfect.

Unique story!! A must read!

This is the story of three generations of women finding love. They are all at different stages in their life but their current situations are similar and intertwined. Charlotte steals the show for me with her spunky attitude and the love for her family, including her precious cats. (I love Butternut). One of my favorite quotes of hers was "Honey at my age, I don't really too much about creepos. Besides, if he is one, I'm fine with it. He'd be a fine sight before I got murdered." My heart went out to Annie for the heartache she suffered from her ex-husband. Her pain and lack of self confidence were evident. The author painted a picture of hopelessness and defeat that made you want to give Annie a hug and kick her ex's behind. Lastly, Amelia, the thirty-something who isn't sure what she wants. Should she settle down or take a chance? I think the choice she made was what was best for her, not everyone will agree I'm sure, but I was happy with the way it turned out. I adored this book and the unique style of blending the three generations of love stories. It was unlike anything I'd read before. My favorite quote in the book is "I've realized every single stage of life is beautiful and wonderful in it's own way. I think life isn't about age. It's about finding things that make you happy, that fulfill you, at every single stage of your life." The quote is a perfect summary of what you learn in this book. I highly recommend this read!
