Mizuno Men's Wave Catalyst 2 - 11M - Red / Silver / Black

I am new to Mizuno, so I paid close attention to the details within the shoe. As soon as I put on the shoe I felt as if a 9.5 was too small, but during and after my first run the shoe felt fine. I did not feel my toes hitting the front of shoe. During the initial try on I felt as if the shoes were loose, but lacing them up to the last holes fixed this issue. The shoe laces felt strong and durable. The laces felt stretchy but not to the point of tearing, so no money was saved by using cheap laces. During my run the shoes definitely did not disappoint. They provided great support and the build of the shoe showed itself in its response to absorbing shock. Usually after running my shins hurt, but these shoes minimized the hurt. These are the first shoes that allowed me to run the next day and the following day. Using Asics shoes my shins would limit me to every other day. Back to the laces, usually with Nike and Asics shoes I felt as if the laces would cut into my foot. Due to the high quality laces, I did not feel them cutting into my foot. The laces stretch functioned as a support system yet did not affect my foot. The shoes were very well ventilated. Socks were cool and not damp. All and all, my first experience with this brand is very positive. I have not complaints with the quality nor the performance.
