Excellent for understanding the brain

This book is easy to read %26 understand, and so incredibly illuminating. I gained so much insight about child development and how it can go wrong. Only thing to note is only 1 case study involved intentional abuse. All others were negligence due to simply not knowing any better. So if you're looking for understanding your intentionally traumatic childhood, well, the biology the author describes can be relatable to at least some degree. Maybe more but I haven't found the book to compare it to in that regard yet.
