Start covering fwd of the fin, not from the rear

I have a 2018, and the instructions say to remove the fin antenna by rotating CCW. The dealer service mgr says NO, (removing the antenna is done from inside the vehicle), and is unnecessary. Take care with the fin antenna. Starting from the rear, places almost the full load of the cover on the antenna. I suggest installing the cover starting just forward of the antenna, and moving forward to the front, and leaving enough to go over the fin to the bottom of the rear, 6 to 8 feet of the rear part of the cover. Another idea is to get a large sponge, cut a slit in it for the fin antenna, place the sponge over the antenna, before placing the cover over the sponge/fin and covering the rear of the vehicle.
