Chaco Banded Z/Cloud Sandal Women

I've been a Chaco believer for 10+ years now (about how long my first pair lasted!) and was hesitant with this new style. For reference, I owned the Z/X2 (double strap w/ toe strap) for 10 years. Loved them and when they fell into disrepair, Chaco honored their lifetime warranty. These were what I replaced them with. And BOY am I in love further more! I knew I wanted the support of the toe strap but didn't want my toes to get suffocated as they tended to. So, with this new style, they've added an extra strap across the top of your foot. It provides the support when you're walking downhill but doesn't strangle your big toe. I really love these and definitely think they are a great addition to the Chaco family! Looking forward to seeing these become a new staple!

I love my Chacos. I have purchased 2 pairs. Originally I got the Z/Cloud X2 in Everglade and ABSOLUTELY LOVED the look of them and they were comfy to wear and stand in for long periods. However, I quickly realized what folks meant about toe strangling. The completely adjustable straps is a genius idea and I will always purchase Chacos in the future because of it, but while you're walking, you pull with your heel and that tightens the loop around your toe. Meaning you need to adjust it all the time. But you have the needed support while going downhill to not slide out of your shoes. The Banded Z/Cloud provided a solution to both of the issues with the additional strap across the foot. It keeps your foot anchored down to the sole much better and I feel like I have much less of a gap with my toes than with the traditional z/Cloud 2s. Overall, absolutely love them, just wish there were more colors with the solid color trimmed edge. I got the Outskirt Caramel and the color combo is great, just wish there were more options.
