These heavy-duty coated steel plates protect the plastic pipes going into the battery pack. These lines are only protected by a plastic flimsy plate from the factory. Adding these steel protector plates will protect these cooling lines! If these cooling lines break, which happens often as they are low and unprotected can cause serious damage to the battery pack which is not covered under warranty and would be a costly repair.  These battery plates install with an existing bolt and include screws for an easy installation.
