Mechanical technology uses push pull cables to connect the steering wheel with the outboard motor and are generally safest for smaller boats with outboard engines not exceeding 70 HP and jet drives not exceeding 90 HP. The EZY-Stick II Model 840 Mechanical Steering Kit is a system designed to be positioned in the front of the boat. This allows for better visibility and convenience for the boat operator. Made with a one piece stainless steel drive spool it is encased in a composite high impact housing which provides a single lever steering platform for easier control for today’s fisherman. The interlocking feature makes sure a lock between the shaft and the lever. The mechanical steering kit includes everything you need for installation with the helm, lever, mounting hardware, cable, and dress cover. It also has a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
