This Book Literally Hits Home!

This book is full of practical parenting insight about some of the mistakes we make as parents and how we can set our kids up to succeed in following our instructions and get them to think. My husband and I have applied their technique of asking questions, which has led to some terrific dialog with our teens and helped us to move beyond some issues we were having. The parenting tools presented here are useful for all ages, elementary years to teens and young adults. We really appreciate the Links' wisdom and experience and highly recommend this book to others who may be frustrated with their kids not taking ownership and carrying out instructions. Practical advice to ease family frustration, build kids' confidence and strengthen your relationship with your kids! Great book!

A MUST Read for all parents!

Do you dread the after school craziness? Are you more exhausted from that one hour than you are from a whole day of work? Why are parents so exhausted? Because we are taking on too much responsibility. We have enough of our own yet we take on our kids also. If you have found yourself constantly reminding or lecturing your kids about their responsibilities, I highly recommend reading “Taming the Lecture Bug” by Joey and Carla Link. I loved this book because it's filled with easy, practical steps to bring peace and joy in your home. I have already begun applying what I have learned and can tell a difference in myself AND my kids.

Great Parenting Book!

Love, love, LOVE this book! It's full of practical ideas, personal examples and godly wisdom. The authors challenge you to create teachable hearts, ask questions and help our children take ownership of their behavior while providing the practical application. It's a book you'll keep going back to for encouragement and the 'how-to' to make it happen!
