Pacifica Island Art uses an environmentally-friendly Unryu Japanese rice paper made by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. Unryu, which translates to 'cloud dragon paper' in Japanese, features long strands of kozo fiber and is made from natural mulberry and hemp fibers using traditional Japanese Washi techniques - ABOUT THE ARTIST - Marcus King - Marcus King (1891 - 1983) New Zealand poster designer studied landscape painting at Elam, taught at Wellington Technical Institute and was a regular exhibiter at the Wellington Academy of Fine Arts. His pictorial advertising posters for the New Zealand Tourism and Publicity Department completed during the 1930s are some of the finest 'vintage poster' designs produced in New Zealand and important milestones in graphic design.
