Caption from caption list: Miss Margaret Bell Saunders, who has been a guest of the Rt. Rev. Alfred Harding, Bishop of Washington. Miss Saunders served with the British Army and was for two years under fire. She was the first English Speaking Woman to be wounded in the War. Gift; Herbert A. French; 1947.
