The Rosary has five main parts called
Mysteries, and each Mystery represents an important event. There are four groups of Mysteries: the
Joyful,
Sorrowful,
Glorious, and
Luminous Mysteries. Each one reminds us of something special, like when Jesus was born (the Joyful Mysteries) or when He rose from the dead (the Glorious Mysteries).
We start the Rosary with the
Sign of the Cross and the
Apostles' Creed, then say the

Glory Be to praise God. This group of prayers is called a
decade, and each Mystery has five decades.
