I take my shoes off the minute I get inside my door. this has always been a battle because I am a diabetic. We are always supposed to have shoes on which I just can't stand. I finally thought outside the box and bought these very flexible water shoes to use as slippers. they are better than socks because they actually have souls on them. I can wear them outside if I just have to go on the porch. The water shoes make it okay, if I would accidentally step on something inside. this would protect my foot from being cut or injured. they also keep my feet warm better than just socks. they are super easy to just slip on and off.
