It should be required reading for medical/nurses

I worked psych nursing for 13 years out of my 30 year career. This book goes into detail about the unethical treatment of everyday citizens that happened to be caught up in a bad situation. As you read this book, you'll see what I'm talking about. People from foreign countries had a language barrier. People that were down on their luck wound up in the psych setting. This book describes physical and mental abuse by staff members at that particular institution. This young lady that went undercover to do a story for the newspapers was very brave. She intentionally exposed herself to being admitted into a psych hospital so that she could help others. I would definitely recommend this book be mandatory reading for anyone going into the medical or nursing field, doing psych rotations. If no one speaks up, nothing changes. One voice can make a difference.
