Excellent buy

This was a very good buy. This Volume One plus Volumes 2 and 3 are the complete series, really every episode. Most importantly the discs we received were each perfect and played perfectly (we played them in a BluRay machine), and all the episodes were included and all seemed to be the original full length versions. We read of some unaired pilot, if this exists, it was not included in these volumes. With a few exceptions each episode is crisp and complete looking. Those exceptions are reasonably where poorer footage or video footage was the only thing available to complete an episode. Still all the episodes looked better than what might play on TV. As others have written, the colour Halloween movie is not included, which would have been a nice Extra, but the series does not suffer from it's absence. Further there is a Halloween episode for those wanting to play something appropriate for party ambiance. For that matter there is also a Christmas episode for those of a, shall we say, "interesting" bent for the holidays. The artwork is decent, although to read the episodes list one must read the reverse of the artwork through the inside of the case, but this is minor. The extras, on whole, are of interest to trivia fans, but are not a reason to buy the series; they should be considered extras nothing more. All good fun here. Despite the home's trappings (pun) and outward appearances of the family members, there is here a true family, and an extended family at that. The lead family members choose always to support one another, always to go forward optimistically, always to make lemonade out of lemons, and always to try again for the results for which they set their goals. Furthermore, this family chooses to do good for others outside their own family (as hilarious and unwelcome as that might be to their chosen beneficiaries/victims). We are glad to have purchased these volumes. And we are glad to have purchased them as separate volumes (all ordered at once), rather than the boxed set that was at least 20 USD more. The extra actual box isn't worth 20 dollars to us, especially since, we read that the box set contained NOTHING in addition to the exact same Volumes 1-3. Great buy, happy to have viewed the series again. Will certainly watch them again in the near future.
