Hand Selected Wood Billets

• Bat billets are traditionally dried for 1 week, but our Made in Japan bats are dried for 6 months before the bat making process begins. This extended drying process provides more flexibility in the bat, while ensuring ultimate hardness in the wood.
• The SSK Bat Shokunin has a trained eye to understand which billet is ideal for each bat model.

Shokunin Craftsman

• Our Bat Shokunin spends over 10 minutes hand shaving each bat to have an incredibly accurate weight, and consistent feel. This is almost 3 times the amount of time spent in US factories.

Vacuum Process Dried

• Our unique vacuum drying process allows the whole bat to be evenly and consistently dried. This means less stress on the wood and more pop on every hit.
