A baffle is a device used to dampen the effects of such things as friction, sound, light, or fluid. Specifically, a baffle is a surface which is placed inside an open area to inhibit direct motion from one part to another, without preventing motion altogether. A screw is a type of fastener, in some ways similar to a bolt typically made of metal, and characterized by a helical ridge, known as a male thread (external thread). A screw drive is a system used to turn a screw. At a minimum, it is a set of shaped cavities and protrusions on the screw head that allows torque to be applied to it.
