This kit was great..It works perfectly and is easy for one person to do alone. My advice would be to measure carefully the size you need .I removed the old deteriorating gasket and cleaned out the groove.I then used an old fashioned school ruler and placed it in the groove .My fit was 3/8 of an inch and it fit perfectly. I tried it first before applying the glue .It does take a little bit of delicate work to get it pushed in tightly but a small flat tipped screwdriver did the job.I would imagine a kitchen butter knife would also workFrom the time I got the package delivered to institutions and clean up was less than 1 hour.I allowed it to dry thoroughly until the next day with the door pushed shut to hold every bit of it in tight. Today I'm burning my wood stove without a single leak .I will update my review if I have any issues with it long term.
