Instructions

. Painting Conditions: Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage. Use when temperature is between 50°F-90°F (10°C - 32°C) and humidity is below 65% to ensure proper drying. Do not apply to galvanized metal. Avoid spraying in very windy, dusty conditions. Cover surrounding area to protect from spray mist. . Preparation: Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or sandpaper. Clean with soap and water, rinse and let dry. Priming: Is not required or recommended. Painting: Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball begins to rattle. If mixing ball fails to rattle Do Not Strike. Contact Rust-Oleum. Shake often during use. Keep can the 8-12" from surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Apply 4 or more light coats to build desired coating thickness, followed by 1 medium coat to achieve a smooth final film. Note: Target 50% coverage on first coat. Allow coating to dry to a matte finish (about 5 minutes) between coats. More coats will result in a thicker coating which is easier to remove when desired. Allow coating to cure for 24 hours prior to washing. Dry & Recoat Times based on 70°F (20°C) and 50% relative humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to the touch in 20 minutes, to handle in 1 hour. You can peel film off once the coating has fully cured. Naphtha may assist in the removal of film in intricate areas. This coating has been formulated for temporary use and is recommended to be removed after 3 months or less. Clean-up: When finished spraying, clear spray valve by turning can upside down and pushing spray button for 5 seconds. Allow wet paint to dry, once dry, peel away or clean up with Xylol or Naphtha. Throw empty cans in trash pickup. Do not burn or place in home compactor. Clogging: If valve clogs, twist and pull off spray tip and rinse it in a solvent such as Xylol or Naphtha. Do not stick a pin or other objects into the stem.

Exposure to heat or prolonged exposure to sun may cause bursting. Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures above 120°F (48°C). Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the content may be harmful or fatal. Vapors may ignite explosively. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Do not smoke. Extinguish all flames and pilot lights and turn off stoves, heaters, electric motors and other sources of ignition during use and until all vapors are gone. Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not breathe dust, vapors or spray mist. Ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headache or dizziness, wear respiratory protection (NOISH approved) or leave the area. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. First Aid: If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical attention immediately. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention; for skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
