Disappointing Materials

After using the drain for about seven years, the knob on the strainer basket broke off because the machine screw that fixes the knob to the basket corroded. It seems to be made of zinc, although I'm not positive about that. With everything else on the basket and the drain being made of stainless steel, I should have thought the screw would have been too!

Less than a year and ball bearing was lost so stopper only closes
