G. Gérin, the founder of the Corporation of Publicity Designers. Maurus created his first successful posters after World War II; he was also a versed in classical painting style of landscapes. AIR FRANCE commissioned him between 1925 and 1955 to create a series of posters depicting destinations serviced by the airline.
