While in elementary school, Maya discovered the passion for art and especially for drawing. While still an adolescent, she attended the acclaimed art school in Vitebsk, Belarus – same city were Marc Chagall drew his first paintings. In 1990, Maya and her family immigrated to Israel, where she continued her personal quest for art. She was fortunate enough to meet an inspiring painter Michael Kachan, in whose studio, she continued to learn drawing and sketching and created her recent works. Maya participated in numerous exhibitions around the world, including the Jewish Artists Expo in Minsk, Belarus (1999), Jewish Community Art Exhibition in Leipzig, Germany (2002), as well as numerous expositions in Israel and Belarus. Maya’s works can be found at Tzfat Galley in Tzfat, Arta Gallery in Jerusalem, Art Shop in Zichron Ya’akov as well as private collections around the world. <
