Sharp blades that keep an edge. Handles need help.

I really love these knives because the keep a sharp edge way better than the Wustof knives I have. My only issue, and it would be a huge one if I didn't like the knives so much, is that the black plastic handles separate from the knives. There is apparently some sort of metal in the plastic handle that when it gets wet it rusts and forces the handles apart. I'm still using the knives but there's no way, even if i put the handle in a vise and try to force it back to glue it, to get the handle to return to its position on the knife. We don't was the knives in the dishwasher so I'm not sure what causes the problem. Other than that they have been a great set of knives
