Good protection for outdoor cats; a little smelly

This product works okay for protecting my outdoor cats from fleas. They still get an occasional tick, so I like to brush them or pet them every day to check. It's a little hard for my old fingers to get the cap off and punch the hole in the top. I need to open it up ahead of time and then put the cap back on until I'm ready to apply it; have to carry it upright so it won't leak. It's a little smelly, so some of the cats can tell that I'm carrying an open one and they sometimes run off. I then look for another cat that is due for their treatment. It's hard to get all of these meds on a cats skin; some always ends up on their fur. I've tried to spread the fur with my fingers then squeezing the tube, but they don't usually stand still; some cats are ticklish on the back of their neck.

Disappointed and frustrated at poor performance

Went on easily when applied. Used for our 3 cats. Worked for 1 out of the 3. Our cats had a moderate amount of fleas with itching. One cat was treated successfully and had no negative effects. Our two indoor cats seem to get worse after applying the medicine, with one scratching hair off his shoulders until it was raw and bleeding. I waited a few days and it has only gotten worse! We'll be going to the vet for treatment.

Cat passed away from product

This product is poison has very deadly chemicals. My cat got very sick and passed away this morning. Confirmed by our vet! I should have done my research before hand. I have learned that I am not the first one. Most cats get very ill it might not kill at first. But eventually it will do not trust any of there products. I can’t believe Walmart continues to sell there products. Specially since they have many reviews reporting others cats become very ill and even dying. I shame Hartz and Walmart!!!
