My 18 month old son loves stacking toys, and has many different ones. This one is similar to the most common stacker toy, being five rings around a plastic post. However, this one is more unique than just five plastic rings of alternating colors. This one uses different materials, textures, colors, and sounds for the five rings. One ring is a velvet fabric, one is ribbed silicone, one is hard plastic with little balls inside of it to give a shaker sound, one is hard plastic with four separate spinning sections that also make shaker sounds and each spinning section has a different embossed pattern on it, and the final ring is also plastic but is a basic ring with a few short ribbons sticking out from the sides. My son definitely prefers this version over the more plain, most common stacker version from Fisher Price. I recommend this toy to any parents who wish to buy their young ones a stacker toy, it's cheap, colorful, great for motor skills and memory, textures are varied and unique, and not troublesome for little hands to play with.
