This mlni refrigerator is perfect for someone in a nursing home, someone in a dorm. I had another small refrigerator in another room but it had a teeny tiny freezer in it that was maybe big enough for a small frozen dinner and nothing else. This freezer is big enough for A half gallon of ice cream and two or three regular sized frozen meals. Now I can have fruits and vegetables without them going bad in a couple of days. I would imagine someone in a dorm will fill their fridge and freezer differently than an old lady in a nursing home but there is plenty of room for lots of snack and pop or soda in this little gem! Well worth the money and an excellent present for a family member now confined to a nursing home. It is a present most would not think about giving but will be well received!
