Very easy to put together and set up. You will have extra parts when you're done. It comes in 2 boxes. (1) is the base with hardware and (2) is the umbrella and pole with the same hardware that came with the base. Only tool that you need is a big Phillips head screwdriver. Both boxes have a wrench for the bolts that are for the base. Instructions weren't all that great but were manageable. Seems well made. Base can be filled with sand or water. If you fill with water like I did, there is a drain plug to empty. A nice feature is the base. It has 2 wheels that helps if you want to move to a different location. As of today, I am very pleased with this. Comes out of California and I am in Delaware and I received this at my door step in a week. I will follow up with this review in a month from now when I have been using this and to let potential buyers know how it's holding up in my region
