The clamp in design makes for easy no-drill installation and nearly flush fit. Once installed the EPDM outer seals provide extraordinary water resistance and the dual action seal at the tailgate end allows opening and closing of the tailgate without opening the cover. Latches at each side of the cover allow for quick opening from either side of the bed and each panel automatically locks in position when opened.
In the fully opened position, the panels are strong enough to resist impact and protect your rear window much like a headache rack would. On all but 8ft beds, the fully opened cover will not block the 3rd stoplight and locking rods keep the BakFlip F1 in position when fully opened. Closing the cover is just as easy as each panel locks in position when closed and you can choose how many panels need to be opened.
