Birch Wood Transfer Board measures 3/8” thick x 28” long x 8” wide. It includes notches and 2 easy reach hand holes to secure in place or grip on to during transfer. The notched sides of this board allow you to securely anchor this transfer board to your wheelchair. This adds stability and prevents the transfer board from moving as you glide across. When transferring, it is important to keep your board as level as possible. Also, it is best to use short movements across the board. Ensure your wheelchair is locked into place before transferring. The two hand hole cutouts let you gain leverage and control as you move across. Transfer boards are designed to help one transfer to and from a wheelchair, bed, toilet, chair, bathtub, car, and more. They can be easily used by bariatric patients or those who have limited mobility. This transfer board is constructed of durable Birch wood. This sturdy, resilient Birch wood does not splinter compared to other similar multi-ply. It has superior strength and durability characteristics.
