This little guy has performed well so far. It isn't big, but it is plenty big enough to be useful. A double handful of fries fits in the basket and it doesn't take long to cook a batch, and it recovers the temp well. I can get a couple batches done pretty quickly(a heaping pile on a paper plate) and that is plenty of fries for two or three people. I have not tried anything else but I am thinking shrimp and things like chicken tenders will be easy, easier than fries any day.

Fantastic mini deep fryer

I wasn't aware that deep fryers of this size even existed. Many times in the past, I have passed on some delicious recipes and some great selections of frozen foods (especially fish) in the supermarket, because I live alone and couldn't see the point in owning a big honkin' deep fryer, that required gallons of oil to operate, just to cook meals for myself. But then I discovered this Presto compact deep fryer and the rules changed for me. I now get to enjoy deep frying foods for myself with this fryer and I know that you will too. This was to replace my Fry Daddy that broke after many years. Like this one much better with the basket and the lid which fry daddy did not have. Also has temp control which is great as well even though you have to use it turned up all the way most of the time.
